The Akshaya Patra Foundation is one of the world's largest not-for-profit organisations implementing the Government of India's Mid-Day Meal Programme. With operations spanning more than 16 states and over 78 kitchens, the organisation serves over 2.25 million meals and 1 million morning snacks every day to schoolchildren.

- Candidates must have a Diploma or B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, or an equivalent course.
- Applicants should have a minimum of 1–2 years of experience in Procurement.
- Good communication and negotiation skills are required.
- Candidates should be able to coordinate effectively with vendors and internal departments.
- Knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, MS Office and basic ERP systems is required.
The selected candidate will be responsible for the following procurement and purchase-related activities:
- Manage day-to-day purchase and procurement activities according to business requirements.
- Source and evaluate vendors based on price, quality, specifications and delivery timelines.
- Obtain quotations, prepare comparative statements and negotiate with vendors.
- Prepare and process Purchase Orders (POs) according to the approved procurement process.
- Ensure timely procurement and delivery of required food, non-food, operational and maintenance materials.
- Coordinate with Stores, Operations, Finance and other departments for purchase requirements.
- Verify materials received against approved quantities, quality and specifications and resolve discrepancies with vendors.
- Verify vendor invoices and coordinate with Finance for payment processing.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, vendor documents, quotations, Purchase Orders and invoices for audit and compliance.
- Monitor purchase costs, vendor performance and pending orders to ensure cost-effective and timely procurement.
